Avoid Interrupting Conversations
Hi friends! Phoenix here, with Cool Joe the llama!
Have you ever been so excited to say something that you just blurt it out, even when someone else is talking? Cool Joe does this all the time! He just can't wait to share his funny stories or ask a question.
But guess what? Waiting your turn to speak is a superpower! It shows respect for others and helps everyone feel heard and happy.
Phoenix’s Tips for Not Interrupting
- Take a Deep Breath: If you feel words bubbling up, take a slow breath and listen to the person talking.
- Wait for a Pause: When you hear a little break in the conversation, that's your chance to speak!
- Use a Gentle Touch: If you really need to say something, gently touch your grown-up’s arm or raise your hand to show you’re waiting.
- Practice Patience: Remember, everyone gets a turn. Your words are important, and so are theirs!
Cool Joe is learning that when he waits his turn, his friends and family listen even more closely to what he has to say. It makes conversations more fun for everyone!
Let’s all be conversation superheroes—wait for your turn, listen with your heart, and share your words with kindness!
